Knights Fly by Eagles in 3-0 Victory

PORTLAND, Ore.| Men's soccer earned a 3-0 victory over Northwest on Saturday to advance to 14-0 on the season.

Brothers Brendon and Hunter Leach assisted all three of Warner's goals on the day.

The scoring began for the Knights in the 16th minute when Andrew Martinez got Warner Pacific on the board with his 22nd goal of the year. The goal from Martinez came courtesy of an assist from Hunter Leach.

The Knights didn't let up after getting on the board, scoring their second goal just four minutes later when Alain Murhula found the back of the net for his sixth goal of the year. This time the assist came from the younger of the Leach brothers, Brendon.

Warner continued to create scoring opportunities but wouldn't be able to expand their lead for the rest of the half.

In the second half, the Knights would tack on one more goal before it was all over. Kai Flugel joined in on the action with his second goal of the year in the 66th minute with an assist from Brendon Leach.

The win puts the Knights at an incredible 14-0 this season. The historic run for men's soccer continues Oct. 21 when they take on University of Providence at Eastside Timbers at 2:30pm.
