Knights Fall at Home Against Bushnell

PORTLAND, Ore.| Knights volleyball fell in straight sets to Bushnell on Saturday, 25-16, 25-19, 25-13. 

Bushnell controlled the first set, gaining an early lead and never giving it up. The Beacons were able to cruise to a 25-16 set victory without much of a threat from the Knights. 

Warner put up a good fight in the second set. The Knights went back and forth with the Beacons and tied up the set at 14-14. From there, Bushnell went on a 11-5 run to close out the set. 

The Beacons jumped out to a big lead in the final set. The Knights were able to string together some offense, but they were kept at bay and Bushnell took the final set 25-13. 

The Beacons offensive attack was led by Jessica Northcutt who led the team with 15 kills and also recorded 8 digs. Bushnell also was boosted by the performance of Makenna Northern who had 31 assists 10 digs on the night. 

For the Knights, top performances include Elizabeth Reid who had 12 kills and a .545 hitting percentage on the night. Sabah Mohammady led the Knights with 16 digs. 

The loss drops Warner to 1-14 on the season. Volleyball is back in action on Oct. 18 when they take on Multnomah at home at 7pm.
