Knights Fall in Three Sets to Southern Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore.| The Knights fell in three sets to Southern Oregon on Friday 25-20, 25-10, 25-17.

Injuries thinned out a Knights lineup that was already without much depth going into the final weekend of play.

The Knights went back and forth with the Raiders while still maintaining a lead for the majority of the first set. At one point the Knights held a 15-13 lead. However, it was then that the Raiders seemed to make an adjustment, going on a 12-5 run to come back and win the first set.

The second set lacked the competitiveness of the other two sets. The Raiders jumped out to an early lead, thanks in part to three consecutive aces from Trinity Atuatasi at the start of the set. The Knights couldn't find their groove and ultimately dropped the second set.

The third set saw more back in forth action in the early going before the Raiders began to pull away and pick up the match win 3-0.

Team leaders for the Knights include Tevlin Britten who had 14 kills and a .212 hitting percentage. Sabah Mohammady led the team with 22 digs, and JuJu Williams led the team with a season high 23 assists.

The loss drops the Knights to 1-20. Volleyball plays their last game of the season Nov. 5 when they host Oregon Tech.
