Knights Fall to Linfield in Final Non-Conference Game of Season

MCMINNVILLE, Ore.| In their final non-conference matchup of the season, the Knights fell to Linfield 64-55.

Warner Pacific (0-8, 0-3) came into their matchup against the Wildcats (4-4, 1-1) looking for their first win of the season.

The first half was evenly matched. Linfield held the lead for all of the first quarter, but the Knights kept them close, ensuring it was a one possession game at the end of the quarter. The Knights flipped the script in the second quarter, holding the lead for nearly the entire second quarter and entering halftime up by four.

Momentum shifted in the game in the third quarter when Linfield got the hot hand and was able to outscore Warner Pacific 24-11.

The Wildcats went into the final frame up by nine and ultimately, it was too much to overcome for the Knights as Warner Pacific would end up losing by a score of 64-55.

Leading the charge for Linfield was Rowan Cusack who had 20 points on the night, 12 of which came in the third quarter.

Emily Brown led the Knights with 17 points, a season high for her thus far. Brown also had five rebounds, which tied her with Alexa Mee and Serena Sanchez for the team high on the night.

The loss puts the Knights at 0-8 on the season. Women's basketball is back in action on Dec. 16 when they travel to take on Eastern Oregon.
