Knights Close Out Narrow Win Over Bushnell

EUGENE, Ore.| The Knights continued their early season success as they picked up a win over Bushnell on Saturday by a score of 78-74.

Warner Pacific (5-2, 3-0 CCC) rounded out a weekend of incredibly competitive games with a close win over the Beacons (2-5, 0-3 CCC).

The game was another back and forth affair for the Knights. The matchup against the Beacons saw nine lead changes and eight ties. No team led by more than 7 points during the first half, and the biggest lead of the game was 11 held by Warner early in the second half.

The two teams fought down to the wire as the game was tied at 70 with two minutes left in regulation. A layup from Isaac Etter put the Knights up by a score before a clutch steal by Darius Traylor and a layup from Dakota Reber gave the Knights the window they needed to close out the game.

From there, Thomas Miles hit all four of his free throws in the final 20 seconds to keep the Knights on top and help give Warner a 78-74 victory.

Thomas Miles had another great performance, leading the team with both 28 points and 8 rebounds on the night. Maxwell Moses also gave the Knights a boost coming off the bench, scoring a season high 16 points.

The win puts the Knights at 5-2 on the season. Men's basketball is back in action December 8th when they return home to take on Linfield at 5:00pm.
