HELENA, Mont.| The Knights continued their perfect start to the season with a 2-0 win over Carroll College on Friday.
The game opened with a bang as freshman phenom
Andrew Martinez found the back of the net in the fifth minute of play. The remainder of the first half saw plenty of shots by both teams, but the game remained 1-0 at the half.
The second half opened in a similar fashion to the first: with an
Andrew Martinez goal five minutes in. The goal would bring the game to its final score of 2-0.
With his goals today, Martinez has scored 14 on the season. He has scored in every game this year for the Knights and is two goals away from sole possession of the Warner Pacific men's soccer record for most goals scored in a single season.
On the defensive end, goalkeeper
Alexis Calderilla came away with another shutout. Calderilla was able to keep up with Carroll's offense, tallying five saves on the game.
The Knights advance to 8-0 with the win. Men's soccer is in action again next on Sept. 25 on the road against Walla Walla University.
