Knights Fend Off Eagles for 10th Win

KIRKLAND, Wash.| The Knights were able to fend off the Eagles and get their 10th win of the season on Friday.

Warner Pacific (10-5, 7-3) started off their weekend road trip with a win over Northwest (6-10, 3-7) on Friday, with four Knights scoring in the double digits.

The Knights got off to an incredibly hot start as they led by as much as 26 in the first half. The offensive charge for the Knights was led by Thomas Miles who scored 19 points in the first half alone.

Warner enjoyed a sizeable lead for the majority of the second half as well, as they were up by 20 going into the final 10 minutes of the game. Things took a turn when shots began to fall for Northwest and the Eagles closed in on the Knights, making it a one possession game going into the closing minutes.

The Knights held on for the win thanks in part to perfect free throw shooting in the second half and clutch baskets down the stretch. Dakota Reber helped secure the win for the Knights when he scored to put the Knights up by 4 with as many ticks left on the clock.

Warner was led by Thomas Miles who scored 26 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Darius Traylor also scored 13 points and Dakota Reber and Isaac Etter both scored 10.

The win puts the Knights at 10-5 on the season. Men's basketball is back in action on Jan. 14 when they take on Evergreen.
