OLYMPIA, Wash.| The Knights fell in overtime against Evergreen in their matchup on Saturday.
Coming off the heels of their first win of the season, Warner Pacific (1-15, 1-9) women's basketball sought to build on that momentum in their game against Evergreen (7-7, 4-7).
The Knights appeared to pick up where they left off on Friday, as Warner controlled the first half of the game, going into halftime up by 9.
While Warner kept up their pace in the second half, Evergreen worked to close the deficit in the third and fourth quarter. The Geoducks eventually pulled even in the fourth quarter as the final period of regulation saw the game tied three different times.
With the game tied up with just a minute left in play, neither team was able to score and the game went into overtime.
Both teams were held scoreless for the first 2 minutes and 40 seconds of the five-minute overtime period. The scoring drought was broken by Evergreen and the Geoducks went on to win the game 73-68.
The loss puts the Knights at 1-15 on the season. Women's basketball is back in action on Jan. 17 when they take on crosstown rival Multnomah.
