PORTLAND, Ore.| The Knights couldn't complete the comeback on Saturday, falling to Walla Walla by a score of 44-37.
Warner Pacific (0-14, 0-9) had a competitive first quarter against the Wolves (3-9, 2-7), as the Knights kept the Wolves to a one point lead by the end of the quarter.
The Wolves jumped out to a big lead as the Knights were kept scoreless in the second quarter.
The Knights sought to make a comeback, even outscoring Walla Walla 29-23 in the second half. However, the deficit was too much to overcome and the Wolves came out on top 44-37.
Walla Walla was led by Jaliyah Casem who scored 17 on the game.
McKeeley Tonkin led the Knights in scoring with 15 points.
Emily Brown also had a strong performance, recording a double double by scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
The loss drops the Knights to 0-14 on the season. Women's basketball is back in action on Jan. 13 when they travel to take on Northwest.
