Portland, Ore. | The Knights won the second of a back-to-back in their portion of the Portland Classic tonight against the University of Providence by a final score of 90-87.
The Knights came back from down 13 down in the first half and fought and clawed their way back to tie the score up at 61 2ith 14:24 left to go in the second half. From there on out, it was nail-biting action to the bitter end when finally the Knights were able to put themselves in a position with a couple seconds left up by three points to play defense and win the game. The Argos got a pretty solid look at the buzzer by Eric Milner but thankfully, the shot was too strong and the Knights walked out with the hard-earned victory.
The Knights are the unofficial winners of the Portland Classic going 2-0 in their games and were the only one of the four teams to do that.
The Knights offense looked night and day better tonight shooting 49.2% from the field which is up from the 37.9% from yesterday. The Knights were drilling their open shots and the offensive flow they had made the game extremely exciting to witness. The most impressive stat that the Knights obtained tonight was making 17-34 from three good enough for 50% from distance.
The Knights were without their top scorer from the night before but everyone rallied together and stepped up to fill that void.
Sean Johnson and
Josiah Castillo led the way for the Knights with 20 apiece making up nearly half of the Knights total scoring output.
Cade Baker had a solid game especially at the free-throw line going 9-10 from the stripe to go along with his 14 total points. Caleb Tyree-Morgan contributed 10,
Maxwell Moses had 9,
Sherman Royal III had 13, and
Jordan Jackson had 4.
The Knights were sharing the ball quite a bit tonight racking up 19 assists with
Maxwell Moses leading the way with 5 followed by
Cade Baker with 4.

The Knights will enjoy a week of practice to get ready for their next game which is against William Jessup University on November 17
th at 6pm in the CC Perry Gymnasium.
