Knights Advance to Semifinals

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – November 6th, 2023

Springfield, Ore. | The Knights started their tournament run playing the University of Providence today on a very rainy and windy morning and took care of business winning the match 4-1 in full time.

The Knights started the scoring early in the game with a sweet goal by Chanin Orlandin in the 6th minute assisted by Bryce McCole. The Knights then proceeded to score their second goal of the game in the 26th minute from McCole to continue his huge contributions to the cause. The third goal of the game was a sweet rebound shot off the foot of Hunter Leach after a shot by Bodo hit the right post in the 54th minute. The Argos then scored their first and only goal in the 57th minute to make the score 3-1. The Knights didn't panic though and proceeded to score a few minutes later in the 64th minute off the foot of Mateo Rusca with the assist going to Bryce McCole and Brendon Leach.

"Great win for the team today amidst a good University of Providence team," Head Coach Troy Ready said. "Matches can be abnormal amidst conditions of heavy rain and wind but we handled the critical moments well. I'm again proud of our team and thankful we have a day in-between to rest prior to the semifinals."

The Knights out-shot the Argos 15-10 on total shots and 8-3 on shots on goal.
