PORTLAND, Ore.| Warner Pacific women's basketball fell in their matchup against College of Idaho on Friday by a score of 79-67.
The Knights (1-21, 1-14) fought from behind for the whole game as the Yotes (12-10, 7-9) got out to an early lead. College of Idaho extended their lead to as much as 12 before going into the half up by eight points.
Strong shooting from Mia Austin helped College of Idaho continue to build upon their lead throughout the second half as Austin led the Yotes with 14 points. College of Idaho pushed their lead to 15 in the fourth quarter before coming away with a 79-67 win.
The Knights were led by
Paityn Rhode who scored 15 points, including going 3-6 from deep. Not far behind in scoring was
McKeeley Tonkin who had 13 points. Freshman
Kenna Coleman also recorded a personal season high in scoring as she scored 12 points. Additionally,
Emily Brown was one point shy of recording another double-double as Brown led the team with 11 rebounds and scored nine points.
The loss puts the Knights at 1-21 on the season. Women's basketball is back in action on Feb. 4 when they host the #16 ranked Eastern Oregon University.
