Warner Pacific Loses First Two Against UBC

West Lin, Ore.
Warner Pacific lost both games of today's doubleheader against the University of British Columbia by scores of 20-0 and 14-1 on a very rainy and windy day in the Pacific Northwest. Both teams had heavy rain-jackets and many of them had sweaters to wear during the game that made the conditions a little bit more endurable.

Game 1
Warner Pacific kept fighting amidst losing to UBC 20-0. Sammie Brauckmiller got the Knights only base knock of the game hitting a solid grounder through the hole between short stop and second base into center field. The Knights may have had a quiet day hitting the ball but they were able to work out three walks and got into a lot of deep counts driving up the pitch total for the UBC pitching staff. Jordyn Rosario, Sammie Brauckmiller, and Christina Barrett each drew walks in the game.

Game 2
The Knights tried hard to battle through the wind and the rain that picked up even more midway through the contest but ultimately lost 14-1. Carrigan Foster had two hits on the day. A single to center field and single to right field. Those were the only two hits but they did draw two walks. One by Jessie Ramirez and one by Kassidie Bukoski.

Next Up
The Knights will take on the same University of British Columbia tomorrow on the first of April at 11am and 1pm at Rosemont Ridge Middle School in West Linn, Oregon.
