Warner Loses First Two to Southern Oregon

Wilsonville, Ore-
The Knights (4-29, 4-22) lost two today to the hands of #4 Southern Oregon (33-7, 20-4)

Game One
Warner Pacific lost game one today by a score of 7-2 but it was one of those games where the final score isn't indicative of just how close the game was. The score was 3-2 at the end of the sixth inning before the Raiders scored four in their top half of the seventh. It was a pretty solid pitcher's duel up to that point. The Knights had four hits on the day. Ashley Hawkins, Sammie Brauckmiller, Emma Foster, and Jessie Ramirez all checked in with hits.

The Knights started their scoring with a massive solo shot in the second inning to the deepest part of center field. It was her fifth homer of the season which leads the team. The second run of the game was scored by Ashley Hawkins when Marin Bliss made good contact grounding out to second bringing in Hawkins from third.

The game got away from the Knights in the seventh when the Raiders scored four in the frame on four hits. However, to keep the game that close for that long against the #4 team in the nation is a big deal. It shows the improvement that this team has made over the entire year.

Game Two
The Knights lost game two against the Raiders 11-0 in six innings. The Raiders extremely potent offense was held in check pretty well through four only scoring one run in each of those innings. The Raiders broke the game open in the sixth scoring seven runs on seven hits. Ashley Hawkins, Carrigan Foster, and Jessie Ramirez each had hits in the game. Hawkins singled in the first to left field advancing Jordyn Rosario to second who walked to start the inning. Jessie Ramirez singled to left in the second inning. The last hit of the day was a single to left by Carrigan Foster advancing Emma Foster to second who got on via walk.
