Warner Pacific Loses Two More to Stellar #4 Southern Oregon

Milwaukee, Ore-

Warner Pacific (4-31, 4-23) lost two more to Southern Oregon University (35-7, 21-4) today in Milwaukee, Oregon in front of a large Senior Day crowd. Today we celebrated our graduating seniors, Carrigan Foster, Sammie Brauckmiller, and Christina Barrett.

Game One
The Knights in game one lost 11-0 behind the stellar pitching of Raiders pitcher, Holly Fletcher. Sammie Brauckmiller who was celebrated before the game as a graduating senior, smashed the only hit of the day for the Knights. It was a spicy double to right-center gap that allowed Brauckmiller to stand up at second base. Ashley Hawkins had the best play of the game defensively when a screaming line drive had her diving to her right to rob the Southern batter of a base hit and probably saving a run.

Game Two
Warner Pacific lost game two by a final of 11-0. The weather for the game was beautiful. After a season full of bad weather softball, we finally had a beautiful day to be thankful for. Ashley Hawkins led the way with two hits. Jordyn Rosario and Emma Foster also checked in with hits. Emma Foster had a single to right field to start the hitting for the Knights. There was two more hits in the third inning when Jordyn Rosario singled to right and Ashley Hawkins also singled to right. The last hit of the day came from Ashley Hawkins who singled to left field to extend the game a batter longer in the fifth inning.

The best play in the game came from Senior Day participant Christina Barrett who dove headfirst running in towards the infield from right to rob a batter of a base-hit in the third inning.

Next Up
Warner Pacific will play their final series of the season next Friday and Saturday against Eastern Oregon in La Grande, Oregon.
