Knights Win Again in Great Falls

Great Falls, MT
The Knights (3-24) took on the Argos (4-22) again today in the second doubleheader of the series. They split the day winning the first game 9-2 and losing the second game 5-14.

Game One
Warner took game one behind the excellent pitching of Carrigan Foster who like in yesterday's win, was dominant. Foster's pitching mixed with the Knights bats bashing out 13 hits made for a very successful recipe for success.

The Knights scored early and often in this game scoring six runs in the first inning. The biggest hit of the inning was an absolute tank job of a home run by Marin Bliss. It was a three-run homer scoring Ashley Hawkins, and Emma Foster who both reached earlier on singles. It was Marin's first dinger of the year and it was a big one. After a couple of singles from Christina Barrett and Jesse Ramirez, Sammie Brauckmiller walked to load the bases and give Carrigan Foster the opportunity to help herself on the mound by adding to the lead. Foster did just that smashing a double to left field scoring Ramirez and Barrett. The scoring in the inning was capped off by Jovita Laloulu who singled to right field scoring Brauckmiller. This was just the start of Laloulu's big day. More on that later.

In the fourth inning, the Knights scored another run on a wild pitch. Jesse Ramirez struck out swinging but the pitch was wild which allowed her to get on first base. The error brought Bliss in from third who also reached base earlier in the inning on an error.

Jesse Ramirez, in the sixth inning, hit a single once again bringing in Marin Bliss who doubled a few batters before.

Like promised, more on Jovita Laloulu's big day. In the seventh, she hit a big fly solo shot bringing the score to 9-2 capping off a wonderful game by the Knights. It was Laloulu's second blast of the season. More on Laloulu to come.

Carrigan Foster pitched another stellar game today who once again pitched the full seven innings while only giving up two runs, both earned. She walked three and struck out an amazing ten Argos hitters. In the last two days, Carrigan has owned the University of Providence striking out a whopping 18 Argos.

Game Two
Warner lost game two via walk-off in the bottom of the fifth inning. They did however score five more runs bringing the series run total to 26. This isthe most runs scored in a series this season by the Knights.

The Knights scored four runs in the second inning which included five hits. After Marin Bliss hit a sweet little single to start off the inning, Christina Barrett hit a dinger driving in Bliss and herself. It was Barrett's second homer of the season. Carrigan Foster came up two batters later and hit an infield single to shortstop bringing up the hot hitting Jovita Laloulu. Just like the previous game, Laloulu had bad intentions smashing her third home run of the season scoring herself and Foster.

Emma Foster lead off the fifth inning with a double to center field. After a groundout that moved Foster to third, she scored via error by the Argos short-stop.
