FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 16th, 2023

PORTLAND, OR | The Warner Pacific volleyball team fell to Southern Oregon today in three sets at C.C. Perry Gymnasium in front of a solid crowd.

The Knights lost in three sets to Southern Oregon by scores of 16-25, 15-25, and 12-25. The Knights might not have won but they put up a solid fight seeing how one team was ranked #19 in the country and the other was 1-12 going into the matchup. The match got out to a rough start with the game starting 45 minutes late due to a referee scheduling issue.

Izzy Moore and Autumn Gaboury-Parker also had 4 kills on the night. Kyla Reiling led the way in the assists category per usual with 12. Alyssa Asuncion was huge in the middle with 9 digs followed by Maryann Tulele who had 7.

"Tonight, we showed a ton of grit and hustle in our back court which is a place that we can build from," Head Coach, Kim Lissinna said.
