FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 26th, 2024

Salem, Ore.| The Knights were up in Salem tonight taking on Corban University. They ended up losing 85-48.

The first quarter saw the Knights go out to an early 16-15 lead at the end of the period.

The second quarter saw the Warriors earn the first 8 points putting giving them a 23-16 lead causing a timeout from head coach, Jimmy Smith just 1:44 into the period. Coming out of the timeout, the Warriors scored 4 more points before the Knights finally broke the streak with a bucket by Teirra Hicks. The Knights only managed 7 points in the quarter and went into the half down 40-23. Teirra Hicks led the Knights in first half scoring with 10 points. McKeeley Tonkin had a nice half with 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist.

The third quarter was another struggle for the Knights. The Knights halfway through the quarter had been outscored 10-2 before Jimmy Smith called a timeout to talk things over. The lone bucket during that stretch was a layup by Larsa Guzman. Peyton Rhode and Ashland Campbell each made a three making the quarter more manageable. The Knights went into the fourth quarter down 57-33.
