Warner Pacific Women's Basketball traveled down to Klamath falls to take on Oregon Tech tonight in conference play action. The Knights came into the game hoping to knock of the undefeated Owls, but after a contested first half, Warner lost ground and fell 70-37.
Â
The first half saw one of the best defensive outputs of the season, holding the high scoring Owls to just 5 points in the second quarter. This effort ensured the Knights had a chance to take the game in the second half.
Â
Out of the halftime break, Warner Pacific was unlucky at times that the ball did not drop their way, but ultimately, they did not have enough in the tank after the first half and went on to lose the game.
Â
Hannah Harris led the team in scoring with a total of 12 points, while Tierra Hicks had another strong showing adding 7 points and 6 rebounds.
"Tough second half tonight," Head Coach, Jimmy Smith said. "We will look to bounce back tomorrow against SOU."
Â
Warner Pacific is in action again tomorrow, January 6
th at 3pm at Southern Oregon University where they look to bounce back and take a game on this tough road trip.
