FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - November 26th, 2024
Portland, Ore.|Â In an ending they never saw coming, the Warner Pacific Knights fell by one to their cross town rivals Multnomah.Â
The final score was Multnomah 71 and the Knights 70. In the first half, everything seemed to be going the Knights way as they went into halftime winning 38-27. However in the second half, the Knights let the Lions take the momentum. This caused a flip in the game plan, as the Knights only put up 32 while the Lions scored 44.Â
Even though the score didn't fall in favor of the Knights, they led in almost every offensive category. They made nine threes, 25 field goals, and even shot a percentage of 84.6 from the charity stripe. Even the defense looked sound as the Knights had 38 rebounds, and caused nine turnovers. The downfall was in the little mistakes as the Knights had 14 turnovers which led to 13 points for Multnomah. The Knights also gave up 24 second chance points which was a big part of their defeat.Â
Individually, Graduate Student,
Matt Solomon, made a big splash with 28 on the night. He also had two assists and four rebounds. Defensively,
Terrin Dickey led the Knights. He accounted for four offensive rebounds which was a little under half of his total rebounds of 10. Dickey also scored eight points for the Knights.Â
The Knights hope to leave this loss in the dust as they go on the road traveling to Salem, Oregon to take on Corban University at 7pm. They will then travel to Eugene, and play Bushnell University at 5pm. Â
