Men's basketball started the non-conference portion of their regular season strong with their first win of the season. The Knights went up against Park University out of Gilbert, Arizona and went to business. They scored 45 in the first half and 34 in the first half, which resulted in a 79-55 victory.
Overall, the Knights came out strong and stayed ahead of Park University allowing only one lead change early on in the game. The Knights shot 33% on three pointers making 10 of their 30 attempts. As the game progressed, two athletes stood out.
Matt Solomon led the Knights in points with 20 as he went 3-8 from beyond the ark.
Sean Johnson followed closely with a double double, scoring 19 points with 4 threes and 14 rebounds for the Knights.Â
This game marked the start of a five game home series for the team. Their next match will take place on Saturday, November 16th at 6pm, where Montana Western will try to best the Knights. Then on November 19th, the Knights will take on University of Puget Sound at 7pm.
