Knights Sweep The Weekend In Seattle

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - December 21st, 2024

Kirkland, Wash.| The Knights earned their second conference win of the season, as they take down the Northwest University Eagles 84-72. At half the Knights were down by three but thanks to a strong second half, they were able to fly away with the win. This gives the Knights a strong push to keep winning as they move into the heart of their season.

As a team, the Knights were on fire with five players putting up double digit points during the game. The Knights shot 50% from the field, 47% from three, and 77% from the line. This is the Knights strongest offensive game of the season and they don't plan on stopping the progress they are making. They were also able to put up their highest number of assists on the season with 16. Defensively, the Knights showed out as they secured 34 rebounds, 13 steals, two blocks and created 18 turnovers.

While the team played well, multiple players stood out with a few setting new personal season records. Sean Johnson led the Knights with 21 points as he made five three pointers. Junior Tre'von Cason put up 13 and was followed by Jurrien Sparks and Cade Backer who both had 12. On the defensive front Terrin Dickey once again led the Knights with eight rebounds, one steal, and two blocks.

The Knights will hold onto their two wins and hope to bring the momentum into next week when they take on the Multnomah Lions on Jim Skagen Court. Tip off is set for 5pm. The Knights will then take the week off before coming home to play Walla Walla University on Friday, January 3rd at 2pm.
