Knights Fall to the Wolves

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 16th, 2024
 
College Place, Wash.| The Knights were in south central Washington today playing the Wolves of Walla Walla University and lost 59-48.
 
The Knights as a team shot 41.7% from the field but shot a tough 3-22 from deep. Walla Walla shot 32.3% for the game but they were able to manage 7 threes which with the Knights struggles from distance, ended up being a huge stat that helped decide the final score of the event. The Knight struggled from the free throw line as well shooting 5-12 while the Wolves shot 12-15 from the charity stripe.
 
The Knights were led tonight by Emily Brown who had a double double with 10 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal. McKeeley Tonkin also had 10 points, 6 boards, 1 assist, and 1 steal to help keep the Knights competitive as well. Larsa Guzman had 8; Alexa Mee and Amalya Sales had 5. The Knights largest lead of the game was with 7:21 left in the third quarter up by 6.
 
Next Up
The Knights will travel east to Lewiston, Idaho to take on Lewis-Clark State College tomorrow at 4pm.
