Wilsonville, Ore.| The Knights played celebrated their seniors

Morgan Docker, and
Kassidie Bukoski today in front of a solid crowd at Wilsonville High School playing the University of Corban.
Game One
The Knights in game one fought very hard and pulled out an earned win via walk-off fashion in the bottom of the ninth on a
Kili Makanani base hit. The Knights started the game giving up the first run and didn't score themselves until the fourth inning when they scored three. It started with a
Briana Munoz single to center-field followed by a
Lauren Amesquita hit of the same variety. A
Kili Makanani walk loaded the bases up for
Marin Bliss who came through in the clutch with a ringing double down the left-field line clearing the bases giving the Knights a 3-1 lead. The Warriors fought back in the fifth inning with two runs to tie the game at three apiece. In the bottom of the fifth
Briana Munoz gave the Knights a 4-3 lead after singling down the left-field line driving in
Jordyn Rosario. Corban fought back once again and tied the game up in the sixth inning. From there, it became a pitching duel through the seventh and the eighth. After the Knights shut down the Warriors in the top of the ninth, it was time to win the game.
Maddie Gamble started the inning with a single off the wall to left center followed by a
Briana Munoz walk.
Lauren Amesquita did her job next grounding out to first and in return allowed the Knights runner to move up one station putting runners on second and third.
Kili Makanani then became the hero pounding a single to left-center making huge winners of the Knights in exciting fashion.
Abby Carlson got the start and went the full nine innings giving up four runs all earned on eight hits. Carlson struck out four and walked three. Carlson got through the game throwing 109 pitches. The Knights scored their five runs on 10 hits. The Knights approach at the plate continues to be impressive drawing nine walks.
Game Two
The second game proved to be a tougher one for the Knights. They scored six runs on 13 hits but unfortunately lost the game 11-6.
Jordyn Rosario had an awesome game going 4-5 from the plate raising her batting average up to .333 which leads the team. Rosario knocked in three RBI's.
Kili Makanani,
Jovita Laloulu, and
Kassidie Bukoski each checked in with two hits.
Mailli Bode,
Lauren Amesquita, and
Briana Munoz each had a hit. Munoz had an RBI as well.
Kili Makanani got the start on the bump in this one pitching four innings giving up seven runs all earned on seven hits. Makanani struck out four, walked five, and hit two Warriors hitters.
Nia Tate finished the game off going three innings giving up four runs of which only three were earned on four hits. Tate struck out three, walked two, and hit one Warrior.
The Knights scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning after a brief ten-minute rain delay to give the team some positive momentum at the end of the game making the final score 11-6 in favor of the Warriors. The Knights won the series two games to one.
Next Up
The Knights will go on the road next week to Eugene for four games against Bushnell to wrap up the 2024 season. They will play on Friday, April 26
th with game times being at 2pm and 4pm out at Rich Schwab Field.
