Game Recap: Men's Soccer | | Mathew Revels - Student Journalist

Knights Lose Physical Battle to the Saints

Men's soccer lost a physical match against the Fighting Saints of Carroll College. The final score was 0-2 with Carroll's goals being scored in the 16th and 70th minutes. Even though the Knights got roughed up by 15 fouls from the Fighting Saints, they didn't stop fighting until the final whistle.

Graduate student keeper, Noe Rodriguez, was able to show off his tenure during his time in goal as he had six spectacular saves during the match. Rodrigues even had a shot on goal. It was Rodrigues' first ever appearance in a game. Freshman, Abe Fuchs, led the Knights in shots with two while Freshman, Jose Robles, and Sophomore, Hunter Cunningham, followed closely with one apiece.

The Knights next match will be at home on Friday October 4th at 2:30pm against Evergreen State College. They will then take on the Northwest University Eagles on the 5th of October at 2:30pm. Starting at 2:00pm after the Women's match finishes, Warner Pacific will be putting on their second tailgate of the day to celebrate and get ready for the Men's match.
