Portland, Ore.|Â The Knights men's basketball squad fell in a close game against the Oregon Tech Owls with a final score of 64-56.
In the first half, the Knights found themselves down by four with a score of 37-33. They struggled during the first part of the half with shooting but found themselves making a comeback led by some stellar defense. In the second half, the same issue arose as they made eight of their 34 attempted shots.
As a team, the Knights struggled offensively shooting 34% from the field and 17% from three. However, they got down and dirty when they needed to which kept the game close. Defensively, the Knights had 39 rebounds and 18 second chance points. They even managed to have seven steals and three blocks which were crucial.Â
Individually, the Knights saw two players once again shine through.
Terrin Dickey led the Knights in points with 16. He was followed by Graduate Student Matt Soloman who had 15 points. However, on the defensive end,
Vincent Warren set a season high in rebounds with 13, six of which were offensive.
Next Up
The Knights will play again tomorrow against the Raiders from Southern Oregon University. The tip is set for 5pm. They will then travel to La Grande, Oregon to take on Eastern Oregon University on Friday, January 17th. Tip for that one is set for 7:30pm following the conclusion of the women's game.
