Knights Secure Huge Win In the Final Seconds Against Bushnell

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - January 24th, 2025

Portland, Ore.| The Knights Men's Basketball squad pulled off a fantastic last second win against Bushnell University with a final score of 78-76.

In the first half the Knights came out hot making five threes to lead by 17. However, the Beacons battled back and brought the score to 47-39 at half. During the second half, the Knights struggled letting the Beacons take a one point lead. Yet, the Knights prevailed and found a way to buckle down and get the job done.

The Knights were led by Junior Tre'von Cason who scored 19 points with five rebounds and four assists. Cason was not the only one putting up numbers though as Junior Jurrien Sparks scored 14, and Terrin Dickey put up 13 with five rebounds as well.

Even though a few players excelled, the win tonight can be credited to the Knights coming together as a team with all players making significant contributions to the win. Statistically, the Knights made seven threes and shot 50% from the field. They secured 39 rebounds, created seven turnovers and had a season high of 19 assists during the game. The Knights bench contributed to the game in as big of a way as they can scoring 42 of the Knights 78 points.
