Nico Perez-La Costa Scores Knights Career High in Loss to Warriors

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - January 31st, 2025

Lewiston, Idaho.| With tonight's 93-65 loss to Lewis-Clark State College, the Knights take their conference record to 5-10. The first half was slow for the Knights as they scored 20 points due to some struggles shooting. The second half was a battle as the Knights put up 45. 

Individually, the Knights were led by Sophomore Nico Perez-La Costa who put up his season and career high as a Knight with 19 points. Perez-La Costa was followed by Junior Jurrien Sparks and Junior Tre'von Cason who both had 13.

Team wise, the Knights were able to battle back making five threes in the second half, along with 18 field goals. From the line they shot 71% and even created eight points off of turnovers. However, the most impressive team statistic is the points by the bench, scoring 44 of the Knights 65 points. 

Next Up
The Knights will continue their road trip in Walla Walla tomorrow February 1st at 8:30pm. They will then return home for the final time. First, the Northwest University Eagles will take the trip to Oregon and play the Knights on February 7th at 7:30pm. The following Saturday, Evergreen State College will come to town with tip set for 5pm.
