Groesbeck Scores 12 in Loss to 13th Ranked LCSC

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 4th, 2024

Portland, Ore.| The Knights Women's Basketball program played the 13th ranked, Lewis-Clark State College today and fell by a final score of 83-38.

The Knights struggled to get much going today shooting a cool 20.8% from the field which included going 2-11 from deep. The Knights just had one of those nights where finding the bottom of the net was as hard as it is to pass AP-Physics. The Knights from the line shot 16-26 good enough for 61.5%. The Knights were led tonight by Skylar Groesbeck who scored 12 points, collected five rebounds, two assists, and a block. Groesbeck was the only one to finish in double figures for the Knights.

"Even during tough times, we will still find something to take from this game," Jimmy Smith said. "Credit to LCSC. Back to work on Monday."

Next Up
The Knights will enjoy a week of practice until they play again this upcoming Friday against Oregon Tech who is another solid team that is not yet ranked but is receiving votes. The game will be at home at 5:30pm where we will be celebrating National Bittersweet Chocolate Day.
