Portland, Ore.| Warner Pacific Knights Men's Basketball played a barnburner of a game tonight against Simpson University and took the win by a final score 76-75.
This game was back and forth with the Knights leading for a majority of the contest, but Simpson kept hanging around until they finally took the lead late. When the Red Hawks were up75-74 with about 20 seconds left in the contest, the Knights held the ball for the final shot.
Josh Lincoln, who had been a beast all night especially on drives to his left hand, struck pay dirt again putting in a left-handed sweeper with three seconds left. The Knights closed the game out when
Isiah Salim blocked a three-point game winning attempt by the Red Hawks.
Lincoln had an insane game scoring 29 points going a blistering 12-16 from the field including 3-5 from distance. Lincoln filled up the stat sheet in other ways than just scoring as well grabbing four boards, four assists, and two blocks.
Chad Napoleon had himself a solid showing as well scoring 15 points, grabbing two boards, and collecting a block.
Terrin Dickey rounded out the Knights that were in double figures with ten of his own including seven rebounds and two blocked shots.
The Knights as a squad shot 46% from the field for the game including going a solid 9-22 from distance. The Knights were very good from the charity stripe tonight as well going 9-10.
Next Up
The Knights will have a few days off before taking on Lewis & Clark College in another non-conference game. The contest will take place at the Pamplin Sports Center on Tuesday November 18th with tip set for 6pm.
