Knights Take Down Newly Named LCC River Otters in One Point Thriller

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – November 18th, 2025

Portland, Ore.| The Knights Men's Basketball team took on Lewis & Clark College and in a tight game from start to finish, the Knights improved their record by winning by a final score of 73-72.

The Knights came out hot in the first half shooting 56% from deep and ending the half shooting 51% overall. Josh Lincoln was cooking from the start, dropping 17 points on the contest taking just eight shots. Warner Pacific's spacing was solid, and built a big enough lead for later.

Justin White and Andre Treadwell combined  for 32 points and 21 rebounds for the River Otters. Jake Rodriguez came off the bench with a perfect shooting night to add 10 more.

In the end, Warner Pacific's early shooting and timely second-half buckets saved them. Apollo Eugene, Isiah Salim, and Terrin Dickey each chipped in with ten points apiece. Peyton Albers had his best game as a Knight so far chipping in seven points and facilitating the Knights offense nicely. The Knights squeezed out just enough offense to escape with the one-point win. Even though the second-half shooting cooled off hard, their first-half cushion held up. The Knights nearly turned the ball over with about 16 seconds left in the contest but luckily were able to secure the ball and play the foul game. Still with just 3.9 seconds left, the River Otters had a shot after a missed Knights free throw to win the game. The River Otters got a really good look from three from the corner to win the game but luckily for the Knights the shot was badly air-balled and the Knights walked off the floor victorious.

"I'm really proud of the guys," Head Coach Jamayne Potts said. "We showed a lot of fight and determination. Everyone had great energy and there were a lot of contributions from multiple guys that made a huge impact on the game at various times. It was definitely another good team win."
