Portland, Ore.| The Knights Men's Basketball team took on Willamette University and in a tight matchup got their first win of the season by a final score of 103-100.
Tanner Overby led the Bearcats with an all-around performance, scoring 29 points on 9-16 shooting and going 10-11 from the free-throw line. Kellen Sande provided key perimeter scoring with 18 points and three three-pointers, while Anujan Tennathur contributed 14 points to be in third for scoring.
For Warner Pacific, Isiah Salim led the Knights with 23 points and eight rebounds with Terrin Dickey following with 21 points and Chad Napoleon with 20. Napoleon provided quite the spark and energy helping the Knights to victory. The Knights shot an impressive 85% from the free-throw line, shooting 34 of 40 attempts which proved very crucial in holding off Willamette's comeback.
Next Up
The Knights coming off the win will stay at home and hope to continue the winning as they face Simpson University. This game will be held at CC Perry Gymnasium with tip set for 4pm this Friday.
