FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – December 20th, 2025
Portland, Ore.| The Warner Pacific Women's basketball team took on the 10th ranked Lewis-Clark State College and fell short to the Warriors 87-57.
Darian Herring led the way with a strong 27 points on 13-of-18 shooting, while Payton Hymas shot for 18 points on 7-of-9 from the field. LCSC's key to success was consistency; they were about 50% on shooting all night along with an early lead the warriors came with a plan.
The Knights were highlighted by KJ Custer, who scored 15 points draining three three-pointers, with Skylar Groesbeck contributing eight points, including a perfect 5-5 performance from the free-throw line. Despite solid three-point shooting, Warner Pacific struggled to match Lewis-Clark State's consistency tonight.
"Tough game tonight against a very good LCSC team," Head Coach Jimmy Smith said. "We did find success in our shooting percentages when the opportunity presented itself. We're going to learn from this 6-5 and 2-2 start and keep moving forward after the team gets a much needed break. What a start to 2025-26"
