Knights Lose Second Game of the Weekend

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - February 1st, 2025

College Place, Wash.| In a 78-61 loss to Walla Walla University, the Knights hope to return home, rest, and reset as the season comes to a close. The first half was the downfall for the Knights as they put up 33 points compared to Walla Walla's 48. The third quarter was the Knights best as they scored 17 and held the Wolves to 11 but it was not enough to complete the comeback.

As a team the Knights found themselves playing catch up most of the game. They shot 37% from the field and 28% from beyond the arc. Defensively, the Knights were able to secure 37 rebounds which kept them in the game and created 12 Walla Walla turnovers. However, the downfall came to capitalization as the Knights were only able to score 4 points off of those turnovers.

The individual game for the Knights was once again led by the bench with Sophomore Alex Saunders balling out and putting up 13 points. She was followed by Junior Kiki Brooks who had her career high of 11 points and three rebounds. One of the most impressive statistics on the night however was Senior Alexa Mee who had 10 rebounds, three of which were offensive.
