Portland, Ore.| The Knights men's basketball team won a thrilling game 70-64 against Northwest University this evening.Â
In the first half the Knights struggled with turnovers, finding themselves down 41-32. The second half was thrilling as the Knights found a way to complete the comeback, scoring 38 in the second half. With this win the Knights playoff hopes are alive and well now back in the eighth and final playoff spot if the season was to end today.
The big win for the Knights was on defense as the Knights had 46 rebounds with 10 points off of turnovers. They also had 19 assists and created 10 Northwest University turnovers. Offensively, the Knights struggled but were able to get the job done. They made 25 shots from the field along with 16 shots from the line.
On an individual front the Knights were led by Junior
Isiah Salim who hit two clutch threes to take the lead over the Eagles. He was followed by Junior
Terrin Dickey who had 12 points with a career high of 14 rebounds for a huge double double, along with Senior
Vincent Warren who had 11.Â
Next Up
The Knights will continue their home stand tomorrow at 5pm where they will take on Evergreen State College. The Knights will then move into their home-stand starting with The College of Idaho on Valentines day. TIp off is set for 7:30pm following the conclusion of the women's game. The Knights following home game will be that following Saturday, February 15th at 5pm against Eastern Oregon University. This game will also be senior day for those becoming Warner Pac Alumni in May!
