Knights Lose in Overtime to the Geoducks

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - February 8th, 2025

Portland, Ore.| The Knights women's basketball team fell to Evergreen State College in single Overtime by a final score of 85-80.

The game was close all the way with the Knights being down by four at halftime. Thanks to a stellar fourth quarter the Knights were able to send the game into overtime.

As a team the Knights struggled shooting wise making 43% of their shots from the field, 27% from beyond the arc and 80% from the line. However, they were able to capitalize off of turnovers, scoring 18, and eight second chance points during the game. Defensively, the Knights had 35 rebounds, 12 of which were offensive. They also had eight steals, two blocks and 15 assists.

Individually, the Knights were led by Senior Emily Fortin who led in points with 25 and rebounds with 10. Fortin was followed by Graduate Student McKeeley Tonkin who had 17 points with three steals and three assists. This marked Tonkin breaking 650 points as a Warner Pacific Knight.
