Knights Lose Last Two in Ashland

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - February 1st, 2025

Ashland, Ore.| In their final double header against Southern Oregon University, the Knights softball squad fell in both games with scores of 6-0 and 15-5.

In game one, the Knights had a tough time getting runs across and in game two Southern Oregon had a big second and fifth inning.

Game one
In game one the Knights were able to get some hits, but were unable to string enough together to bring across a run. This let Southern Oregon chip away and score a few runs to secure victory over the Knights. Offensively, four Knights players had hits with Noe Barawis having a double. In the circle the Knights looked to Briana Munoz who went all six innings, allowing only one walk.

Game two
In game two, the Knights came out swinging, giving themselves an early 4-0 lead in the top of the second. However, Southern Oregon answered back, scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the second. The Knights did not let this go unanswered as they scored one in the top of the fifth, but Southern Oregon answered back with five of their own to win the game.

Leading in the offensive category was Kili Makanani who had two hits in the second game. She was helped by four other Knights who all had RBI's during the game which included Noe Barawis, Ashley Fritz, Maddie Gamble and Skylar Groesbeck.

Next Up
The Knights will return home for the next few weeks. The first four games of their home series will take place next week on Friday and Saturday. Friday's games will be at 1pm and 3pm with Saturdays set to start at 11am and 1pm. All four of these games will take place at Milwaukie High School.
