Knights Lose Final Two to the Owls

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 13th, 2025

Milwaukie, Ore.| In their second to last home series of the weekend, the Warner Pacific Knights softball team fell to number two ranked Oregon Institute of Technology. The score of game one was 7-3 as the Knights found themselves battling back all game. Game two was a different story as the Knights lost 11-1.

Game one
In game one the Knights gave up a three spot in the first inning. While they did score one of their own in the second, it was not enough as the owls put up another run in the fourth, two in the fifth, and one in the sixth. With this loss Kili Makanani moved to 3-12 on the year.

The highlight of the game came from three different Knights who had multi hit games. Noe Brawis and Ashley Fritz both had two hits, one of which was a triple. Mailli Bode had two hits as well with one of those hits being a double.

Game two
In game two the Knights fell victim to three big innings. The Owls put up three in the first, three in the fourth, and five in the sixth to run rule the Knights in six innings. Only seven of the eleven runs scored by the Owls were earned. Kili Makanani had two hits and the Knights and also had the only RBI of the game.

Up next
The Knights will hit the road for the final time this regular season as they travel to Salem, Oregon to play Corban University in a four game set. The games look a little different this weekend as a double header will be played on Thursday, April 17th at 2pm and 4pm with a second double header on Friday, April 18th at 11am and 1pm.
