FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 25th, 2025
Gresham, Ore.|Â In their final four games of the season, Warner Pacific Knights Softball started off with a split double header against the Beacons from Bushnell University.Â
Game one was close, but the Knights were able to win 3-2. As the day got later and game two came around the Knights struggled losing 8-3.Â
Game one
Game one was interesting in the scoring column as the Knights scored all their runs in the bottom of the third due to some team at bats. Bushnell on the other hand scored on their runs in the top of the seventh, but did not get enough to warrant a Warner worry.Â
At the plate,
Hailey Ferguson had two hits with one Knight run. She was helped by
Noe Barawis who had a double and an RBI as well. In the circle,
Kili Makanani went all seven, allowing three hits and striking out seven.Â
Game two
Game two went the way of the Beacons early as they scored four in the first and two in the third. The Knights did answer back with three in the third, but that ended their scoring for the rest of the game. At the plate, the Knights were unable to string together enough hits to put runs across, even with eight hits on the day. In the circle
Nia Tate came in relief, going five innings and allowing only two earned runs.Â
Up next
The Knights will finish their season against Bushnell University tomorrow at 11am and 1pm. These games will take place at Milwaukee High School, with senior day festivities before first pitch in game one where
Maddie Gamble and
Briana Munoz will be celebrated.Â
