Helena, Montana.| Warner Pacific Knights softball saw their winning streak snap today losing their final two games against the Fighting Saints of Carroll College by final scores of 3-0 and 6-4.
Game one
In game Noe Barawis and Nikki O'Reilly had the only two hits for the Knights as yesterday's game one starter for the Saints, Kennedy Venner, pitched a great game. Knights pitcher, Kili Makanani gave the Knights a fighting chance going all seven innings just giving up the three earned runs striking out four Saints along the way.
Game twoÂ
In game two the Knights bats woke up seeing six hits all by different individuals. The Knights gave up two in the first but then battled back with one run in the second and three in the third giving the Knights a 4-2 lead. The run for the Knights in the second was a solo home run to left center by Hailey Ferguson which was her second of her young Knights career. In the third, both Kili Makanani and Maddie Gamble picked up singles driving in three total runs. The Saints battled back against Nia Tate earning themselves four more runs along the way getting the win.
Even with today's losses, the Knights still won the series against the Saints with their spectacular performances yesterday.
Up Next
The Knights will enjoy some home cooking next week as they take on the Owls of Oregon Tech out at Milwaukie High School on April 12th and 13th.
