Portland, OR.| The Warner Pacific University Men's Soccer team won 1-0 in an extremely physical and chippy contest against the College of Idaho this afternoon at Eastside Timbers Complex.

The one goal in the contest was scored by the good guys on a beautiful shot from Elliot McClafferty assisted by Bryan Jimenez in the 43rd minute. Not only was it the winning shot, it was also McClafferty's first goal of the year. Defense played a big part in this game for the Knights as they only allowed one shot on goal which made goalkeeper Jonathan Flores' life very easy.

The yellow card situation got wild today. There was 12 yellow cards handed out. The Knights had two and the Yotes had 10. There were two more yellow cards on top of the 12 that were second yellow cards for two players resulting in the cards changing to red.

With this win, the Knights are now 1-1 in conference and now get a week off from before playing again. They will host the University of Providence (Mont.) Next Sunday with kickoff being scheduled for 1pm at the Eastside Timbers Sports Complex.
