With Just Six Players, Knights Fall in Three Sets to Northwest

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 25th, 2025

Portland, Ore.| The Warner Pacific Knights Volleyball squad took on Northwest University tonight and lost in three sets.

The Knights unfortunately were without a majority of their team due to unforeseen circumstances and so they played the game with just six players which put them at a large disadvantage against a solid 9-4 Northwest University squad. The Knights lost all three sets tonight by final scores of 25-7, 25-12, and 25-12.

Warner Pacific was led in kills tonight by Summer Martin who had seven followed by Tayah-Anne Toa who finished with three. Mia Carman and Blake Barbee each had one to total just 12 kills for the Knights this evening. The Knights, due to having a lot of players playing positions they aren't used to playing, had their fair share of errors tonight, finishing the evening with 21. Reagan Slyter played great at the net for the Knights, assisting on seven Knights points and finishing the night with just two errors. The Knights at the net were able to block a few of the Eagles' shots earning four block assists. Blake Barbee, Summer Martin, Naomi Johnson, and Tayah-Anne Toa each assisted on blocks tonight.
