Salem, Ore.| The Warner Pacific Knights Volleyball team had a date with the fourth ranked team in the land in the form of Corban University tonight and lost three sets to none at C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.
The Knights looked a bit nervous to start today's game going down early in set one 8-1 before a quick timeout by head coach Becki Neuman. The Knights came out of the timeout and showed some fight winning a couple of longer rallies but still lost the set 25-11. The second and third sets were very similar to the first in terms of score. The Knights consistently added a point to their set total, each set scoring 11 in the first second, 12 in the second, and 13 in the third.
Tayah-Anne Toa brought the boom tonight leading the squad in kills with five followed by
Summer Martin who had four.
Audrey Histed led the way in assists tonight with nine followed by
Pa'oakalani Payne-Kaeo who had seven of her own.
Angel Camagay tonight was very impressive with 12 digs saving some possessions and points for the Knights. The Warriors have some big hitters that can punish a ball, but Camagay was up for the challenge digging out a lot of blistering spikes.
