Knights Surpass Last Two Seasons Win Total With Eighth Win Tonight Against Evergreen

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 10th, 2025

Olympia, Wash.| The Warner Pacific Women's basketball team had a second game in Washington today and took on Evergreen State College taking the win 76-63.

"It was a great weekend for the team," Head Coach Jimmy Smith said. "It's hard to win on the road in the first place so to win back to back is huge. The scoring was well dispersed and the ball was finding multiple hands. Two great team wins this weekend."

Matty Woolf led the way with 17 points on an impressive 6-for-7 shooting from the field also going 5-for-6 on her threes. Shielteal Watah added 16 points off the bench and grabbed seven rebounds as well while Kayla Kasubuchi shot for 15 points and four assists. Skylar Groesbeck recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds as Warner Pacific had a consistent day on offense this evening while also holding Evergreen to seven points in the third quarter allowing them to take this win.

Evergreen was led by Bayleigh Harder's 19 points followed by Amaya Afatasi's 15 points and six assists. Geoducks shot just 40.7% from the field and went 12-for-19 at the free-throw line.
