Eugene, Ore.| The Warner Pacific Women's basketball took on Bushnell University on the road this evening and in a close match up, took the win 70-66.
The Knights this evening battled and were led by Shielteal Watah who finished with 16 points, while Bryten Gumke followed with 13 of her own on on 4-of-5 shooting, including going 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Skylar Groesbeck was all around the court with 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists Matty Woolf matched the 10-point mark while also getting her own three assists. The Knights were almost perfect at the line tonight which was big for the win going 20-21.
Bushnell was led by Maddie Gerhart and Ayden Krupke both shooting for 17 points, Ciena Tumoine was helping the team with10 rebounds and four assists. Bushnell led with rebounding but would not cash in enough to complete the comeback and beat the Knights.
"We had a slow start but came alive in the second quarter," Head Coach Jimmy Smith said. "Bushnell made some adjustments at halftime that made it a back and forth second half contest. The girls dug deep and pulled out the win for our first sweep of the year. This was a great win for the team."

The Knights sit comfortably in the seventh spot of the conference standings and hope to continue climbing the standings with their following games. They are once again on the road this time against Corban University. The match will be held this Saturday at 3pm at the C.E Jeffers Sports Center.
