FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 29th, 2025
Portland, Ore.| The Warner Pacific men's basketball took on Eastern Oregon University at home tonight and competitively lost 81-70.
Eastern Oregon was led by Eamon Monahan who finished with 14 points while Keilan Torkornoo and Isaiah Jones both contributed 12 while Logan Orchard chipped in 11 points. Eastern Oregon had a great team game making nine threes and grabbing 37 rebounds which bested the Knights by four. Eastern Oregon shot for 53.3% from the field in the first half to build momentum and continued to light it up in the second half to seal the win.
Despite the loss, Warner kept this game tight. Isiah Salim led the Knights with 16 points on an impressive 6-of-8 shooting. Chad Napoleon had a great game putting up a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Knights improved offensively in the second half, shooting 53.6% from the floor but early struggles from deep and little free-throw opportunities made it difficult to close the gap. Despite solid play by the Knights, they would go cold at times allowing Eastern to take advantage for the win.
