Warner Pacific Inches Closer to Playoff Birth With WIn Over Walla Walla

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 7th , 2025

College Place, Wash.| The Warner Pacific Women's Basketball team took on Walla Walla University this evening and took an impressive win 98-68.

The Knights this evening were led by Shielteal Watah who scored 24 points on 8-of-11 shooting hitting six three-pointers. KJ Custer added 17 points and Skylar Groesbeck got 14. Warner Pacific's depth was on full display, with 10 players scoring. The Knights bench was amazing as well with 51 points. It was an impressive team win to finish this weekend's slate of games.

Despite the loss, Walla Walla's Jaylo Bello had a strong night with 38 points on 13-of-30 shooting and made an impressive seven three-pointers. Bello had more than half of the Wolves' points. Ally Haslam did add 17 points but consistent offense was hard to come by against Warner Pacific's strong defense and pressure.

"I thought we did a good job of finding inside out opportunities tonight," Jimmy Smith said. "The ball was being shared well and everyone was able to contribute to the total score."
