FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – March 14th, 2026
Klamath Falls, Ore.| Warner Pacific Softball finished their four game series against the fourth ranked Oregon Tech and both games today went very similarly to yesterday's games finishing with final scores of 9-0 and 10-3.
Game Three
It was a tough game for the Knights with OIT just chipping away all game eventually enough to get them the mercy rule win. The scoring started in the second inning with OIT scoring two runs. The Owls scored again in the third with multiple RBI hits to get them three more runs. After four more runs in the fourth inning, the Owls cruised to an easy win over the Knights.
Offensively, the sticks went cold here with only two hits on ten strikeouts. The hits came from Kili Makanani and Ryleah Torres. In the circle for the Knights they had two arms going today. Kili Makanani went two innings giving up four runs in which three were earned. Nia Tate would also pitch two innings giving up five runs in which just one was earned.
Game Four
This game would go the scheduled distance of seven innings and the first run would be a home run from the Owls in the bottom of the third. The Knights would get on the board for the first time on the day on a big three run home run hit by Nikki O'Reilly. The Owls would take that and use it as fuel in the bottom fourth scoring five runs all on multiple hits and situational hitting. The Owls would score two runs in both the fifth and and sixth and would be the final runs on the day for the both teams to end the game 10-3.
For the offense the Knights had a better time in this one with eight hits. Nikki O Reilly had a big game going three for three with a home run with three RBI's. Despite there being multiple hits in this one, the Knights simply couldn't string them together to get a rally going. It was another tough time in the circle for the Knights. The starter was Alex Brooks who threw four innings allowing three runs. Macy Tovar came on in relief and would only record an out allowing four runs. Finally, Kaylee Pokorny would throw 1.2 innings allowing three runs.
