Portland, Ore.| Warner Pacific Softball is proud to announce the signing of true freshman infielder Hayden Viela to the 2027 squad.
 
"Hayden is another freshman that we will be bringing over from the sunshine next season," Head Coach Ashton Porter said. "She is going to be a great addition to the lineup as far as power and consistency and will be able to help us out in many spots on the field. Her determination is what gets her to achieve many things and is what drew us into her on and off the field. We can't wait to see what good things she does for the PAC next season."
 
Viela is from Waianae, Hawaii and will graduate this spring from Waianae High School. While in high school, Viela played not only softball all four years but played baseball for a year. Viela also played soccer as well as volleyball. While in high school, Viela was named Most Inspirational Player for both JV baseball and softball. Viela is coming to Warner Pacific as a true freshman who will major in business administration and minor in marketing.
 
A couple of fun facts about Viela is that she loves cleaning, being outdoors, and Chipotle.
