Knights Fight Well Against #1 Eastern Oregon

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – April 3rd, 2026

Sandy, Ore.| Warner Pacific Softball opened their four game series against first ranked Eastern Oregon and dropped both games by final scores of 4-1 and 9-0

Game One
This game was a low scoring game with both pitchers dueling. The scoring began in the top of the third on a single and an error via the Knights to give EOU a two-run lead. Creating a long inning and having traffic on the bases, the Knights would cash in a run on an error. In the fourth, EOU would add on with a single scoring a run. The final run of the ball game would come in the top of the seventh when EOU would score their final run.

Offensively, Warner Pacific was shut down being held to just a single hit. The hit would come off the bat of Kili Makanani. Noe Barawis would walk twice and would come around to score the Knights single run. Barawis along with Giselle Beriault, and Brylee Rose-Demello would all have a stolen base in this game. On the mound, Makanani would go all seven keeping the Knights in it, allowing four runs, racking up seven strikeouts. It was a very impressive showing against the Mountaineers showing just how far Ashton Porter's program has come.

Game Two
This contest was a lopsided one with all the runs going from EOU. The Knights would hold it down for three innings, scoring two runs in those three innings. The first run came in the first, and the second came in the top of third on a ground out RBI. This game would quickly explode in the top of the fourth with EOU scoring seven runs on multiple hits and taking advantage of the few errors the Knights would have this inning. This game would come to an end via mercy with EOU scoring nine through five.

Offensively, once again the Knights were limited on hits only able to get two off the EOU pitching staff who would collect 11 strikeouts. The two hits would come from the bats of Jordyn Rosario and Giselle Beriault. On the mound, Kaylee Pokorny would start this game going three innings allowing four runs. Nia Tate would come in relief and couldn't get out the inning pitching going just 2/3rds of an inning allowing five runs in which four were earned. Macy Tovar was able to stop the bleeding, pitching 1.1 innings allowing no runs.

Next Up
The Knights will finish their series tomorrow. The games will be played at Milwaukie High School with game one starting at 11am.
